SIGNAL
Analytics and monitoring
MeasureMonitorDetectUnderstand
Enter a domain. Signal measures it now: availability, response time, SSL, SEO and technical scores, and the analytics tools it loads. Then it keeps checking on a schedule and stores every event.
Measuring
- Checking availability, response time, and SSL
- Reading the page for SEO, technical, and analytics signals
- Storing the snapshot

How it works
Scan now,
then keep measuring.
A scan fetches the page once, runs the technical, SEO, performance, and content analyzers, and looks for analytics tools in the markup. The HTTP check and certificate read are the same ones the scheduler runs. Everything is stored as events, so a domain scanned today has a history next month.
- 01Domain
- 02HTTP + SSL check
- 03Analyzers
- 04Analytics detection
- 05Snapshot event
- 06Scheduled checks
IF the check fails or returns 5xx THEN status = unavailable → incident IF status is 4xx or response > 1500 ms THEN status = degraded → warning IF the certificate expires within 14 days THEN ssl warning IF status returns to operational THEN recovered
The analytics score reflects which tracking tools the page loads. Signal does not read any analytics account; traffic figures would need Search Console or GA access and are not shown. Scores use Vector's documented scoring.
How Signal measures a website
Enter a domain and Signal fetches the page once, records the HTTP status, response time, and SSL certificate, runs the SEO, technical, performance, and content analyzers from Vector on the document, and detects analytics tools from the markup. If the public monitoring cap has room, the domain is registered for scheduled checks and every later check is stored as an event you can read on its history page.
The operator board above shows the sites monitored on a schedule with their current status, response time, HTTP code, and SSL expiry, plus a response-time chart once a few checks have accumulated.
Questions
What does Signal measure?
Availability and HTTP status, response time, SSL validity and expiry, SEO and technical scores from a single fetch, and which analytics tools the page loads.
Does it read my Google Analytics account?
No. The analytics score reflects tracking scripts detected in the page markup only. It never connects to any analytics account.
How often is a registered domain checked?
On a schedule set by the operator, currently every five minutes, with every check stored as an event so the history builds over time.
Why does the performance score differ from Vector?
Both use the same analyzers, but response time is measured on each fetch and varies. The other scores should match between the two.
